Cincinnati 2013-2014
On Friday, October 11, 2013 at 1pm, the Big Joe Duskin Foundation Jazz Ensemble performed our inaugeral performance at Clark Montessori. The ensemble included Marc Fields on trombone, Scott Pazera on bass, Anthony Lee on drums, Chris Barrick on vibraphone, Ben Walkenhauer on saxophone and Wade Baker on trumpet and was very well received by the students. ~~~~~ On Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at 2pm, the Big Joe Duskin Foundation Jazz Ensemble performed at Piner Elementary in Morning View, KY. The ensemble included Marc Fields on trombone, Rob Dixon on saxophone, Scott Pazera on bass, Steve Schmidt on keyboards, Anthony Lee on drums and Wade Baker on trumpet. Thank you so much for providing the Jazz presentation for our students this past week. They loved it! After a couple of numbers, the students were clapping to the beat and dancing in their seats. Wade Baker had a great personality and the students found him fun and engaging. Some of the kids have decided they want to grow up to be musicians, and I think all of them now plan to join the middle school band. Again, thank you! The ensemble included Art Gore on drums, Marc Fields on trombone, Rob Dixon on saxophone, Steve Schmidt on keyboards, Scott Pazera on bass and Wade Baker on trumpet.
Check out the videos of "Caravan" and "Me Clean" on YouTube !!! ~~~~~ On Friday, November 15, 2013 at 3pm, Wade Baker led a Blues quartet in an after school performance at Hartwell Elementary with Kyle Bledsoe on guitar/vocals, Anthony Lee on drums and Scott Pazera on bass. I wanted to touch base with you and THANK YOU! Your guys rocked the stage at Hartwell and had our students SO EXCITED about music and the Blues. The kids are STILL talking about it. This was a once in a life time experience for these kids, they have probably never even heard the blues before. Anytime your organization wants to come visit, you are more than welcome. The guys took a request from our students, and had everyone so excited and singing along. All the kids were up dancing. Everyone was getting along and smiling! Thank you, Thank you again !!! bass. ~~~~~ On Thursday, December 5, 2013 at 2pm, the Big Joe Duskin Foundation Jazz Ensemble performed at Roselawn Condon Elementary. Wade Baker led the ensemble with Marc Fields on trombone, Oz Landesburg on saxophone, Brandon Coleman on guitar, Aaron Jacobs on bass and Anthony Lee on drums. Legendary King Recording Studio drummer Philip Paul joined the fun for a few songs, too. ~~~~~ On Friday, December 6, 2013 at 2:30pm, the Northern Kentucky Bluegrass Band were snowed/iced out at Hyde Park School. Unfortunately, because of how much school was missed over thewinter, we were not able do this presentation. ~~~~~ On Thursday, December 12, 2013, Blessid Union of Souls performed a presentation at Ethel M. Taylor School. The teachers had as much fun as the kids !!! ~~~~~ On Friday, December 13, 2013, Northern Kentucky University's EMPOWER program performed a jazz concert by NKU students and faculty at Mt Airy Elementary using funds we donated to them. ~~~~~ On Thursday, December 19, 2013 the Big Joe Duskin Foundation Blues Band performed a presentation at College Hill Fundamental Academy. The band included Anthony Lee on drums, Marc Fields on trombone, Kyle Bledsoe on guitar/vocals, Scott Pazera on bass, Da'Rosa Hathaway Richardson on keyboards and Ben Walkenhauer on saxophone. And King Recording Studio legend Philip Paul also joined the fun for a few songs !!! ~~~~~ On Thursday, February 6, 2014 at 2pm, Ricky Nye, Inc. performed at Roselawn Condon School. ~~~~~ On Thursday, March 20, 2014, the Big Joe Duskin Foundation Jazz Ensemble performed at Deerpark High School, featuring Philip Paul on drums. ~~~~~ On Thursday, May 15, 2014 at 1:15pm, Ricky Nye, Inc. performed at Ethel M.
