In
October 2014, we gave checks to the following schools for their music education programs. We choose
schools based on their state proficiency exam scores, starting at the bottom. We do this because music
education for young children has been proven to improve grades in Language, Math and
Science.

On Thursday, May 7, 2015 at 7pm, please join us for an evening of "Swingin' with
Count Basie" at Deer Park High School. This is the premiere performance of the Big Joe Duskin Foundation Orchestra
!!!
All proceeds benefit the Deer Park High School music program.
Deer Park's jazz ensemble will perform the first few songs, then our orchestra will perform an evening of all Count
Basie favorites, including "All Of Me", "Fly Me To The Moon", "Blues In Hoss' Flat", "Shiny Stockings" and many
more.
With 21 musicians all together, you can't help but have a great time !!!
Tickets are available at the school office or call 513-891-0010. Tickets can also be purchased at Crawford
Auditorium at the school during their 69th annual performance of "Parkers" on Friday & Saturday, April 24 &
25.

later became Philip's wife, Juanita Paul.

Friends will be performing an in-school presentation at Mount Washington Elementary school,
Rick's friends include Paul Ellis on drums, Chris Douglas on bass and
